Bay Run
- 4 August 2024
Location – Leichardt Oval #3, Leichardt Sydney
Every year the BayRun brings the community together in an energetic spirit of fun and fitness. Volunteers are a vital part of our team, helping with all sorts of tasks before the event and on the day.
Event Day Roles
- Assisting with setting up tents, barriers, chairs, and tables in the BayRun Village
- Handing out water to thirsty participants
- Marshalling runners and walkers on the race course
- Handing out medals at the finish line
- Keeping personal belongings safe at the race bag check
- Processing last-minute registrations
- Assisting with bib collection
Australasian CHARGE Syndrome Conference
- 23 - 25 August, 2024
Location – Novotel, Sydney Olympic Park
Timings and number of volunteers required:
- Friday 23 August 5pm to 9pm
– 2 volunteers - Saturday 24 August 8am to
5pm – 4 volunteers - Sat night 24 August 6pm to
9pm – 2 volunteers - Sunday 25 August 9am to 4pm
– 3 volunteers
Activities include:
- Runner – in the room
- Keeping presenters to time
- Tech issue
- Participant needs
- Running mic around
- Winding people up for breaks
- Ushers
Beachside Dash
- 8 September 2024
Location – Peter Depena Reserve, Dolls Point Sydney
Volunteering is up to you – we appreciate any time you can give, whether it’s often or just occasionally. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with new friends who share the same passion for helping others.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Preparation/ packing/ trophies and prizes coordination in the four weeks leading up to the event
- Packing for the event at the SSMRF office
- Attend the day – help with set up, registrations, water stations, SSMRF tent, selling raffle tickets, pack down
- Breakfast and coffee provided on the day of the Dash
Tour de PIF
- 13 September 2024
Location – Miramare Gardens, Terrey Hills Sydney
Special Olympics Kuringgai Chase Fun Run
- 15 June 2025
Location – Claude Cameron Grove, Wahroonga Sydney
Events like the Special Olympics Kuringgai Chase Fun Run or Walk are dependant on kind hearted people putting up their hand to help.
